About me

I am a PhD candidate at the Department of Peace and Conflict Research, Uppsala University. My dissertation research focuses on the dynamics of rebel violence and governance in civil war. Other research interests include the dynamics of postwar and electoral violence. Most of my research has examined the dynamics of violence in sub-Saharan Africa, particularly in Côte d’Ivoire, where I have done eight months of fieldwork. I employ both qualitative and quantitative methods, including comparative case studies, process tracing, and statistical techniques.
